The National Testing Agency has officially released the JEE Main 2026 Session 2 results. View the category-wise cut-off here. About 11.23 lakh aspirants showed up for JEE Main 2026’s second session this year. Approximately 11.06 lakh applicants enrolled for Paper 1 (BE/BTech), with an overall attendance rate of almost 93%.
Those who pass the JEE Main exam will be eligible to take the JEE Advanced exam on May 17, the first step toward admission to prestigious universities like the IITs. The minimum percentile required for students to be eligible for JEE Advanced and participate in JoSAA counselling is the JEE Main cut-off.

Route 1: Enroll in JEE Advanced 2026

Typically, JEE Advanced registration opens two to three days after the JEE Main results are announced. This is the entrance to the esteemed IITs and students can also explore B.Tech courses after JEE Main.
Route 2: JoSAA Counseling (GFTIs, IIITs, and NITs)
Your JEE Main AIR will be utilized for admission into IIITs, NITs, other engineering colleges in India and Government Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs) via the JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority) counseling procedure. This comes into play if you are ineligible for JEE Advanced or decide not to take the exam. After the JEE Advanced results are announced in June, counseling usually starts.
