Majorly there will be categories of Medals that may be awarded in the Annual Convocation of the university:
Academic medals will be awarded to the candidates on the basis of their academic performance during the program. These medals may be of three types:
Shall be awarded to the 1st position holder of a respective batch of a program. Provided he/ she passed out in the normal course duration without any extension with at least first division without any appearance in back paper examinations. The minimum no. of students passing in the batch will also be considered as mentioned in Table 1. In case of a tie at the 1st position for the award of any Gold Medal, both the students will be awarded Gold medal and no silver medal will be awarded in that program.
Shall be awarded to the 2nd position holder of a respective batch of a program. Provided he/ she passed out in the normal course duration without any extension with at least first division without any appearance in back paper examinations. The minimum no. of students passing in the batch will also be considered as mentioned in Table 1.
Shall be awarded to the 3rd position holder of a respective batch of a program. Provided he/ she passed out in the normal course duration without any extension with at least first division without any appearance in back paper examinations. Chancellor’s medal shall be awarded to the “best all rounder” student across all the programs on the basis of his/ her performance in the academics, Co curricular activities, extracurricular activities. Provided he/ she passed out in the normal course duration without any extension with at least first division and have no active backlog. Weightage of various categories will be as given in Table 2.
